Street Shot: Lone Wolf

It's been a little over 6 months since I've decided to shot film exclusively for street photography. I'm absolutely loving it so far. Stepping back and revisiting the basics on a fully manual camera, relearning how to see light, and compose has been therapeutic. I've taken this "therapy" a step further and started developing my own black and white film at home. I hadn't been in a darkroom since college in the mid 90's (yes you read right, mid 90's), so it's been great getting my hands dirty again and owning the process from the "shoot to the soup" all while saving some money.  It cost around $18 per roll at my local lab to develop and scan my negatives. That can add up quickly.

This photograph I developed using Ilford DD-X (1+4) just under 12 minutes at 72 degrees. Ilford DD-X is a one shot liquid concentrate developer. I'm to lazy to mix the powder for Kodak D-76 and find liquid concentrate like DD-X more convenient for me personally. I like the results of this recipe so far, but looking forward to trying my hand at some Kodak HC-110 developer also.

Now where can a brotha get one these wolf tank tops?

Stay shootin' folks.
