Read an article in the New Yorker this week about Instagram photo dumps. The premise of the article was that posting albums of 20 photos nowadays, a photo dump, is the only way to garner any attention on the platform.
“On today’s social media, the only way to counteract the overflow of online content is to put out an overflow of your own.”
All that to say, I’ve always been a proponent of the snapshot. Photography doesn’t always need to be so serious and have a story arc, a snapshot or series of snapshots is just fine too. That is precisely what I did on a recent business trip to Austin.
